Grand Theft Auto IV é o quarto jogo da mais famosa franquia da Rockstar. O jogador assume o papel de Niko Bellic, um europeu que vai aos Estados Unidos em busca de melhores condições de vida e a fim de deixar seu passado aparentemente negro para trás.

O game se passa em Liberty City, que desta vez faz alusões muito mais claras à cidade de Nova Iorque; é possível ver pontos característicos do local fielmente reproduzidos, como o Empire State Building, a Estátua da Liberdade e a Ponte do Brooklyn. O protagonista é, aparentemente, um imigrante europeu que vai à cidade procurando uma nova vida.

Graças à engine RAGE (Rockstar Advanced Game Engine), os gráficos de GTA IV são impressionantes, com efeitos de luz e sombra muito bem feitos. O game vai ser lançado para PS3 e Xbox 360 e, segundo seus produtores, vão ser disponibilizados episódios extras algum tempo após o lançamento.

Durante o primeiro trailer, o protagonista conta que já matou, seqüestrou e vendeu várias pessoas, pretendendo mudar de vida na nova cidade. Vindo da Rockstar, sabe-se que isso só pode ser uma grande ironia, não é mesmo?

Rockstar listened, and is now delivering: a new patch for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV is available for download. To get the 32.6Mb update, simply start your game, log into LIVE, and select to update when prompted. The patch is reported to make the following changes:

* A fix to the crash after legal screen that some German customers were reporting.
* Numerous improvements to the video editor: Smarter naming of videos, improved rendering quality, better fx during replays.
* Fix to bowling while using certain sensitive mice.
* Fix for ATI 1900 shadows.
* Overall savings to memory.
* Graphic improvements to particle systems and mirrors.
* Multiplayer character settings are preserved.
* Support for DirectInput controllers.

Pessoal para quem tem o XP SP2 e não quer por o SP3 tem esse tutorial aqui:

GTA IV PC Works fine with Windows XP SP2! I'm playing it now on my XP SP2 PC. The trick is to let GTA think you have SP3 on. Some app I Installed also wanted SP3 installed to run, but I was too lazy to download SP3 at the time so I tricked it. You can change/tweak what Service pack windows reports is installed by tinkering with the Registry. This works like a bomb!

Here is how:
(Only do this if you like tinkering with the registry!)

Step 1: Run Regedit by Clicking on Start -> Run , type in regedit and press enter
Step 2: Make a backup of your registry (just in case)
Step 3: Browse to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contr ol\Windows"
Step 4: Modify the value of "CSDVersion" from "0x00000200" (SP2) to the Windows XP SP3 value of "0x00000300"
Step 5: Close registry editor
Step 6: Reboot
Step 7: Start GTA and freakin enjoy it already!

Como Salva o game?

- Logue no menu do jogo, onde tem Options, Guide...
- Leve seu mouse pra cima da tela, vai aparece a opção do Games for Windows - LIVE, clica la, e coloque para criar um profile, assim irá ter a opção pra criar um profile offline...
- Depois de criado, vc vai poder salvar seu jogo.

- Ou Aperte a tecla HOME, que ja abre a tela pra criar, se preferir...
